Need advice about primer seating
Quote from Reloader on September 14, 2016, 2:52 pmUsing the 550b station 1 is for decap, resize and prime. After decapping and sizing and prepping rifle brass. It is clean with all lube removed and ready to load. I only am now using station 1 to prime the case., not resize again. I do not want to get the case stuck in the die. I was thinking about removing the decap pin and case mouth expander where there would be no function for station 1 except to seat the primer. Would this method work and would it cause other problems? I have a Sinclair and a Lee hand primer but I would like to do all of this with the Dillon press. Thanks in advance for taking the time to reply.

Quote from Reloader on September 14, 2016, 4:46 pmIf you are performing functions at the other positions in addition to priming the cases on the machine, then you should entirely remove the size die from the machine. A case without lube will still stick in the size die, regardless of the presence or absence of the depriming assembly.
