NEW Low Primer Alarm Failed
Quote from Reloader on January 3, 2015, 1:56 amToday I was working on my second reloading project on my new(to me) XL 650. When I got this machine, it was missing several things, and this is one of the things I replaced. I noticed a priming stroke didn't feel right. Too easy. Checked the case and sure enough, no primer. The priming assembly had run dry. I checked the alarm and it wasn't working. The positive terminal of the battery was not touching the terminal. The battery had gone past the terminal. I made a shim out of cardboard from a box of primers to prevent this in the future.
BTW - The 230gr FMJ .45 rounds came out perfect.
