New to Dillon!
Quote from Reloader on January 17, 2011, 3:08 amWell I'm not new to reloading, but new to the progressive press.. Just got my new 1911 and heard good things about Dillon and here I am! Just wanted to post and say hey, and was curious if there were any pointers anybody could throw out there about the initial set up.
Just gotta say dillon, if hornady had hot girls, you might have competition! Thanks for making reloading sexy! Now i dont feel like a nerd!
Thanks Guys

Quote from Reloader on February 1, 2011, 3:24 amI have had a Dillon SDB for at least 12 years. I had to get it as combat handgun shooting was my shared hobby with my two daughters. Glad to say that they have turned out great...and great shots. They each got a .40S&W auto when they graduated from college.
That said, I have to say that I am a Dillon fanatic and recommend their loaders to everyone who says they want to reload. Why?:
- The reloaders are great.
- I have been reloading .45ACP, .40S&W, and .45LC for a long time.
- The Customer Service is fantastic.
- Early on, I broke the main aluminum housing through my own stupidity. I called them, admitted my mistake, and they just told me to send the broken part back and they sent me a new one with no charge.
- They monitor the forum religiously and provide excellent answers...including offering to send replacement parts. I just posted one today and you can look at it.
- The members of the forum are also excellent. They provide suggestions and tips and are very understanding (meaning kind replies) to questions.
So, bottom line...if you want to reload, buy a Dillon press. Your biggest problem is deciding which one to buy.
