New to me, Used RL1050

Hi, I just bought and have received a used Dillon RL1050. Unsure of what year it is, but it's old enough to have a funky looking case feeder bowl. Looks like it's from the 50's = )

The RL arrived today, and is much dirtier than I'd have thought someone would sell one, but the good news for me is, I'm not very familiar with the press!

When I sold my 650, it was in tip top shape, fully cleaned. This thing was super nasty!

I am wondering if there are any upgrade kits that I should be looking for from Dillon? The Primer bar actuator linkage is SUPER finicky to adjust, had to align it somewhat to the left (when looking at from front of machine) order to get it to cycle the primer bar correctly.

I also want to give credit, and point anyone who has a 1050 to watch this video if you ever want to do a full strip/clean/lubrication. I thought this video was very well done. I was surprised to see that Dillon didn't have anything like it on their support videos that I could find.

There weren't any upgrades for the RL1050, with the exception of changing the bellcrank on the powder measure from the original one-piece to the current two-piece lock-link assembly.

So, I loved my 650, and bought this RL used. I can’t account for its completeness, and I’d like to send it to you to go through it, verify it’s got what it should have on it etc, clean and lube.

What’s the best way to get it to you, with our without dies, any special shipping, do you send me a box, not sure what to do.

I understand there will be fees, other than shipping, can you tell me what the normal fee would be?

Look forward to your advice.

If it’s easier, email me at jrreihl@gmail.com

Thanks

We charge $229.95 to perform a clean and lube service. During this, we strip the machine down, scrub everything in a solvent tank, inspect the parts, reassemble, relube, check the factory adjustments, such as primer feed. Minor parts are replaced as necessary during this. Any major parts are replaced for the cost of the parts. This fee also covers shipping the loader back to you.
We don't provide shipping materials for free, but you can phone us and order a box and packing foam.
To begin this, please phone or email us, and include your address. We will create a return authorization for you. This is our internal tracking, so we know what to expect, who it belongs to, and where to ship it to.
Our current in-house turnaround time is about 2 weeks.

Sorry to jump on an old thread, but its applicable to my situation.

@Dillon, do you recoat or paint the press itself or any items as needed?
Is the costing the same and are the packaging materials for an RL1050 readily available to buy?
Thanks
