New XL750 Owner, Primers not feeding

I tried google and searching the page, but I didnt see anyone with the same issue.

I have a new Dillon 750 XL, just set it up yesterday. The primer system is not feeding. I loaded primers into the feeding tube, but they are not dropping into the cup to go into the machine.

Any ideas?

Pages 48 and 49 in the XL750 User Instructions (Trouble Shooting Guide) details the single primer drop test and flashlight test, as well as other good suggestions. At the risk of sounding like a "nanny", you should start with no primers loaded, then follow the instructions.

Did you ever figure the problem out. I'm having the same issue. I first set my reloaded up for 9mm and had a hell of a time trying to get it to drop primers. I recently switched to over for my .45 and cannot get it to drop a primer at all. I Did everything the manual said to do and nothing . I've spent hours on this darn thing and tbink after spending a couple of grand that I should not be having this problem.....

I am having the same problem, loading 9 mm, have done 500 then starting having this issue.

I was having primer not dropping problem as well. I did the flashlight test, etc. nothing worked. Then I saw a comment about the primer pickup cup height causing problems. Basically, if it's too high, it will push on the plastic lips of the feeder tube and deform them. Sure enough, that was the cause for primers dropping sideways, inverted or not dropping at all when they would jam in there 2 primers at a time.

The solution for me was to lower the cup height just a bit and install a new plastic end on the primer tube.
