Nickel casings
Quote from Reloader on June 21, 2009, 12:36 amI am new to reloading. I was wondering if using nickel casings are ok and if they are, are they run through the Dillon dies just like brass casing are? Thanks

Quote from Reloader on June 22, 2009, 3:01 pmNickel cases usually have a shorter life, as they are more brittle than unplated cases. Otherwise, there no other issues using nickle plated cases.

Quote from Reloader on March 16, 2011, 1:27 amI once had a set of dies that would leave scatches on the cases during resizing, I was told by the manufacturer that this could have been caused by sizing nickle plated cases. I cannot remember if the dies were Dillon or RCBS, the only two types of dies I use.
Will scatches occur on the inside of the dies when sizing nickle cases?

Quote from Reloader on October 1, 2011, 1:51 amI had this scratching problem with a set of steel dies and the nickel plated brass. Pitched the scratched dies and all the brass that I ruined with the scratched dies and bought a carbid set, no more problem. I am more aware of cleanliness too.
