No BS Policy
Quote from Reloader on July 16, 2008, 3:56 amA couple of months ago my father gave me his SD"B" with the stipulation that I had to reload his brass for him. So after a couple thousand rounds of 38's I switched to 45 auto then to 357. That's when I hit problems. The sides of the cases were getting sheared. I talked to my father and he said he had no idea, he'd never had the problem. So, I called Dillon. A nice guy by the name of Mike Foss talked to me about various possibilities and sent some new parts. Didn't work. I called again and a few days later more parts came. I think in all there were three packages from Dillon and four or five calls. We got the problem licked and Dillon has a firm believer. What I really found odd that never once in our conversations and emails did ANYONE ever doubt that I had a Dillon. Never asked me for any kind of proof that I even had one. Mike did ask me once how old it was and in the next package there was an updated priming system. I joked with him once and said all I needed now was a new frame and I'd have a virtually new system. His reply was basically, "We want our customers happy."
Here's to Mike Dillon for having the guts to implement such a policy and to Mike Foss for being the kind of guy that people are happy to deal with over and over. I wish we had more companies like you guys.

P.S. Thanks Mike for all your help. I find the Dillon as much fun to use as shooting itself.

Quote from Reloader on September 10, 2008, 12:14 pmI had an incident with my SDB where I accidentally sheared part of the collar that holds the powder head assembly onto the frame. Apparently, I had placed the bell crank a little bit out of position and when I cycled the press, I sheared off the retainer on the side of the collar. I called Dillon to buy another collar and I was told that it was on its way at no charge. I said, "But it's my fault!", to which he replied, "I don't know that."
I have NEVER had a negative experience with the fine folks at Dillon. If anybody asks me if I like my SDB (and XL650) - "Hell yes!" You can't beat the service, and the quality of the presses is outstanding. You can't go wrong with Mike and Company.
