I'm reloading .223/5.56 oal is 2.250. The closest I'm coming 2.255. Is that good or should I keep trying?

SAAMI maximum cartridge length for 223 Remington is 2.260". Be sure the loaded rounds fit your magazine, if shooting in a semi-automatic rifle.
