Old SD refurb
Quote from Reloader on June 11, 2013, 10:11 amOK, after using Lee gear for years (of frustration at times) a friend has given me an old SD in 45 ACP that was gathering dust in his garage.
I am not sure of the age but there are some differences to the current SDB that I can see - the powder measure is different for example. It doesn't have the metal rod attached to the bell crank.
In addition, parts are missing or broken - the locating buttons that retain the shell in 3 of the 4 stations, the leaf spring that retains the pin on the priming mechanism, the powder reservoir for the powder measure, no low powder or low primer sensors, etc etc.I shoot 9mm and 38/357 so I would be looking at one or both conversion kits plus the parts required to get it up and running again in the two calibres mentioned (that take small pistol primers as opposed to large primers in the current setup).
How do I work out what parts I need and how do I order individual parts to get this blue girl up and running?

Quote from Reloader on June 11, 2013, 2:33 pmI suggest you either download the manual from here, or email us your name and address and we will mail one to you. Broken parts are covered under warranty. I recommend you peruse the manual to determine missing parts, then phone us to order. This way we can cover all broken parts, and advise on the primer feed parts, caliber conversions, etc. Phone hold times are shortest after 5PM MST

Quote from Reloader on June 12, 2013, 3:59 amThanks for the prompt reply. I will download the current manual and start ticking off the missing items.
One query, I am in Australia. How does Dillon service compare here in the Antipodes to the USA?
