older RL550B

I have a new RL550B from about 90-91! I never did set it up till now! It is different from the new ones that are showing how to fine tune ect! For instance the fail safe rod to measure doesn't have the nylon parts at the spring on the bottom! The linkage is a single hookup, where the newer ones are two part where the rod connects at the top! My powder bars are also different! Do I have to upgrade or? will it work as good as if it were a new model? jus wonderin!

That 550 should work for you just fine, as long as no parts are missing.
Yours just doesn't have all the upgrades the new ones have.
I bought mine in 96' and I don't have the upgrades of the new ones. I loaded 1,200 45acp and 900 9mm Wednesday and Thursday with out a lick of trouble.
I think you will be fine.

no parts missing! all new! just not set up yet! Gonna get a few other goodies like dies, caliber change, cover ect! Will set up as per instructions that came with it! Thanks
