Op Rod Alignment
Quote from Reloader on March 18, 2016, 8:33 pmI have been hearing a "Pop!" as my press cycles, but not every round. I watched until I saw the primer feed operating rod ride up on the right shoulder of the small upper roller, then drop into the groove - Pop.
The rod looks straight in the plane of the rollers, the bend into the bracket a right angle, and I cleaned and lubed the end in the bracket.
Pop.Does anybody have an idea how to get the rod to stay in the groove?

If I grab the handle in a forehand grip, it holds everything to the left in the linkage slop and generates a Pop.
If I grasp the handle backhand, it holds everything to the right in the linkage slop and the op rod stays in the groove, no Pop.
OK, backhand is more comfortable anyhow.
