powder

new to reloading and was wondering what type of powder would work for 9mm,40s&w,45 acp.

We don't generally make powder recommendations. Rely on the reloading manuals for this. http://www.hodgdon.com has a most wonderful interactive loading data center. Hodgdon now supports Hodgdon, IMR and Winchester powders there.

Unique may be what you are after, if you can find any.

Double and triple check any load recipes you get on the internet.

I agree totally with dillon and mike. Stick with published data. Those guys have put in thousands of hours on the data they have. I have been loading for 20+ years and have always used published data. Its not worth the risk. Also make sure the firearm you are loading for is in top notch condition and is a close match for the data you find. An example would be the load for a 44 Magnum. Their is two loads to choose. Standard for Ruger Super Blackhawk and another for Thompson Contender. Make sure you have your stuff in order and you will have years of fun reloading.

I have had good luck reloading 9mm with Winchester 231 in my RL550B.  As stated by others, check the reloading manuals.
