Powder Charger/ primer tube
Quote from Reloader on January 26, 2014, 2:55 pmI received my loader several months ago and am now setting it up but I'm having some difficulties with mounting the powder charger/hopper.
The powder charger is so close to the primer feeder that it actually touches the primer feed tube. It pretty much makes the low primer feeder impossible to use.
I have the powder charger in line with the back of the unit as you face it.
Should the powder charger just be rotated to the left? All the photos I've seen of this 1050 show the powder charger lined up square front to back and it does not move during cycling. When I've had the unit clamped down to the powder die, it moves around slightly on the die itself.
Photos are attached here in link format. If theres a view you want to see let me know.
Also, the powder charger is NOT clamped down in these photos intentionally.

Quote from Reloader on January 26, 2014, 3:28 pmLoosen the tube so that you can freely move it. Push down on the tube making sure that it is sitting correctly.
Once in place, screw down the inside cap nut, the one that is a real pain to screw down. Tighten it in place and then put your powder measure in place. This may resolve the issue. If it does then tighten down the outer cap nut.
I've found through putting a number of the 1050's up that they're not always 100% from the factory.

Quote from Reloader on January 26, 2014, 11:33 pmI tried taking the primer tube off as you suggestion and re-setting it. I dont think it helped much.
But in the photos you can see how I have to turn the powder charger to the left a bit, counter clockwise to have it clear the primer's stainless steel cap/nut and the low primer buzzer.
Its still right up to it with barely enough room to slide by.
The black rod that actuates the charger bar has a nut with a hole it in attached to the base. I unscrewed that a bit as well to move it to the left a bit.
