Powder drop/funnel?
Quote from Reloader on August 8, 2015, 2:44 amI'm planning on buying a 550B and rather than use the powder drop, I plan to weigh each charge and use a funnel to drop the charge in.
I've seen it setup somewhere but can figure out what I need.
Any assistance is appreciated.
Thanks
Nick

I would say you still need a powder die along with the powder funnel. This allows you to bell the case in preparation for the seating die.
Myself, when loading for my rifles, I also weigh and drop the powder for each round individually. Once I prime and size them, I rotate them to the powder die stage and then use the plastic funnel that if I remember correctly, came with my old AT 500 which is now the Basic loader 550.
Sometimes I'll place the sized and primed cases onto a reloading tray, inspect them, and then drop the powder while they still sit in the tray. This way, it is easier for me to look into the casings to make sure they are all charged.
