Powder measure question

I have been using my 550B for over a year now and never had any problems or questions. I have only used it for pistol calibers until now.

I recently bought a .223 conversion kit and I cannot get the powder regulated. I am using Winchester 748 and I am trying to get 24.6 grains. I cannot get a consistent drop, it will vary between 23.3 and 30 grains. I even bought a new quick exchange kit so everything would be new and still have the same problem. I am using the large powder bar.

I did a search for powder measure problems and did find some for people having problems with extruded powder like Varget and 4064, but I am using a ball powder, Win748.

Please tell me what I am doing wrong!!

I am loading .223 using blc-2 and it is dropping + or- two tenths of a grain which i can live with.

try tightening your failsafe rod, I hold the handle down and screw the wingnut until it is snug and then back off a turn, i don't know if that is your problem or not but it seemed to work for me.
Dillon should be along and I am sure he will lead you in the right direction and will also let me know if I am wrong in my way of setting up this thing,lol
