powder measure random change
Quote from Reloader on March 17, 2015, 8:43 pmI was in the process of reloading 308 winchester on my 550b and my powder charge changed from 44 grain to 45.2 after the first 7 rounds. After calibrating again it went 12 more rounds before tossing out only 42 grains once then 45.5 consistently. I resize and deprime on a separate single stage press so that can't be the issue. I always fully depress the handle for every round so that can't be the issue either. I am unsure what could have caused this issue and any help would be appreciated.
I have already changed the powder bar out to make sure that isn't the problem.

How much powder is in the hopper tube? We suggest starting with the hopper tube at least 2/3 full. Throw 10-15 powder charges to settle the powder under the baffle before you begin weighing charges. Be sure the failsafe rod is tight enough to fully retract the powder bar.
