Powder station bending case mouths
Quote from Reloader on January 12, 2013, 3:24 amI am having a weird problem. Every 10th case or so, at the powder station, Something will bend the mouth of the case, and drop several grains of powder out the bottom. It does this whether anything is in any of the other stations. I don't notice any "forcing" or anything where I have to operate the handle differntly, but this is ticking me off.
I am losing 1 out of 10 .223 cases and losing powder all over my bench.

Quote from Reloader on January 14, 2013, 1:06 pmIf you havent, make sure that each case is lined up properly with the star detent. Sometimes that detent can be off just a little bit.
Check each case closely coming out of the decap-resizing die. You might be having issue with a previous station and the powder station is just the symptom.

Next, and more likely, push down on the edgeof the shellplate between stations 2 and 3. If it feels springy, then the shellplate bolt needs to be tighter. Finally, on the A powder funnel, be sure the groove is towards the top.
