Press mounting question
Quote from Reloader on February 26, 2013, 2:44 amThis may sound like a dumb question, especially since I have been using my 550B for over 20 years but I just build a new reloading bench and it seems like the nut that holds the handle on is hitting the front of my bench. It was never an issue before because the old bench had a overhang on it. The picture in the manual, yes I do still have my manual, shows a flush mount but it just feels funny. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Quote from Reloader on February 26, 2013, 4:53 amThis is a bit ironic. I just built a new reloading bench myself and attempted to place my 550b on it over the weekend and discovered the exact same thing, the nut on the bottom of the handle hits the front edge of the bench. My solution...buy and install the strong mount.

Quote from Reloader on March 21, 2013, 4:14 pmI helped a friend build a bench for his 650 dillon and we ran in to the same problem. The strong mount was out of the question since he is in a wheelchair so we simply cut out a notch to allow full travel of the pull handle......and when I recently built the bench for my new-to-me dillon 550, I did the same thing to the bench......works great and I can sit for long re-loading sessions.......
