Press needs TLC
Quote from Reloader on August 15, 2010, 2:31 amI have a Dillon RL-450 that I purchased from you in the early 80's. This press was placed in a box in the garage when I put up the guns and started a family. I am wanting to use the press again , but mother nature has not been too kind to the press. Some light rust and blue paint is also missing. This was a great press when it was new , just a little rough right now.
Does Dillon have a way to bring this Blue press back to life ? Or a referb kit.

great question! I have the same issue just rescued my 550 from 14 years out of use. Planning to disassemble and remove rust from various parts, but would be very interested in a refurb kit or factory restoration.

Quote from Reloader on October 7, 2010, 2:11 pmNo referb kit needed; disassembly, some elbow grease with a scotch-brite pad or steel wool and WD-40 to clean it up, then proper lubrication is probably all that is needed. We can mail you a disassembly punch and an alignment tool if you want to do it yourself. Otherwise we charge $47.95 for a clean & lube service on it.
