price for rl550

I just found a RL550 that was purchased in 1988. The guy said that he may have made around 500 rounds with it.

Well here is a list of items, I would like to give him a fair price, he does not seem to want alot for it.

  1. RL550 all in working order just a little stiff
  2. Conversion to 38/357
  3. Dillion Die Set 38/357
  4. Eliminator powder scale
  5. FL2000B Tumbler w/media never opened bought in 1992
  6. Media Separatoor

Also if I purchase these items, I will be loading 45acp, and 38 super so what all will I need to get. I have the dies.

James

Hi. The Fl2000B is no longer made by us. It was replaced by the CV2001. For the 45 and 38 sup you will need a conversion kit for each of them and a toolhead and powder die.

James,

A rule that I follow that doesn't mess over either party is about 50% of new value.  That said, right now on ebay RL550 with one die set up are going for $375 or so.  Tumblers are about $50-70.

If you want to set up for 45ACP and 38 Super, you will need the following:

45ACP Conversion Kit(make sure it has the correct powder/expander tube), Large Primer Tubes(pick up and feed), Large Primer Dispenser Bar, extra tool head for Dies, etc, eventually extra powder dispenser.

38 Super Conversion Kit (comes as 9mm/38Super) with correct powder/expander tube), extra tool head if you want to keep the 38/357 set up, and eventually extra powder dispenser.

Rick
