Primer Catcher

Quote from Reloader on February 3, 2008, 5:05 amI put a piece of tape around the long part of the cup. The tape sticks up about 1/4" and runs the whole length of both sides of the narrow part and around the end. This seems to be A fix for me. I just ran the 1st 300 round thru it and did not loose a primer.

I did receive the updated parts for my press within a couple of days of contacting them. I installed the parts and the press is still nearly flawless.
I must admit, however, that I did modify the primer retrieval process to eliminate the primer cup. I added a tube similarly to some of the web sites out there. The tube runs down to the floor into a large sealed container. I won't have to empty that thing for a long time. I've loaded probably a couple of thousand rounds since last posting here, and haven't had a single spent primer fall on the floor, nor any spent primers stuck or backed up anywhere. The vacuum cleaner really loves me now!
