Primer Catcher - can it be upgraded

I have a old (2002) vintage SDB and noticed that the newer version of this press has a different primer catcher setup than mine (mine has a long chute with 2 ears (that always break off) that holds the catcher in place. The new style looks like it has a catch that slides onto a metal bracket.

Does anyone know if this new style can be retro-fitted to a older press?

The new style will bolt onto the older SD machines, uses the same holes

Have a look at doing the .357 Mag spent primer upgrade. You can also use a 38 special case
