PRIMER FEED DISC NOT INDEXING FAR ENOUGH.
Quote from Reloader on December 22, 2016, 10:09 pmSaw this on the forum from 2015 and I am having the same problem:
“I've developed a problem with my 650's primer feed disc not indexing far enough. When the mechanism turns it, it seems to only be going 90-95% of the way. So, the holes aren't lining up with the primer seating ram.’
Your answer at that time was: “Either the primer disc indexing arm is damaged, or the cam that moves it is worn. If the disc properly rotates when you manually push it, then the cam is worn. If the disc fails to rotate fully when operated by hand, then the index arm is damaged.”
I have changed the primer disc indexing arm (although an older one) and the cam. I also changed the indexing arm spring as well and added a touch of lube to the primer feedbody housing. Everything works well for a few strokes then it stops indexing properly again. Any suggestions???

You can try putting a piece of thin cardboard behind the primer cam that's bolted to the frame. Posterboard or file folder thickness should be sufficient.
If you replaced the primer index arm with a used one, then please email us for a replacement. Please include your address with the email parts request.

Quote from Reloader on March 25, 2017, 1:25 amI have the issue also. here is what I think maybe the problem
. I had to take the assembly off the ram to replace a indexer ring. it is held on by 2 bolts. I see they have a aliment toll available now. but I don't have it I had to align it by eye.
I am getting flipping primers/sideways crushed primers. of you look down though you press with tool head removed and no shell plate you can see your primer plate indexing. look at it close . does it look like the primer plate is a hair off. either it need to go a hair more or a hair less to perfectly line up with the primer punch hole. if so you need to loosen your main 2 screws holding the assembly were the shell plate goes. move it in the direction that makes the primer plate and the primer punch hole line up perfectly . tighten then check it again move the ram up and down several times and see if the hole line up perfectly. that's ho to adjust your timing.I am going to call dilon to see if I can get a alignment tool. also I think I may have a worn large primer disk and large primer tube. the brass end. I replaced all the primer assembly parts I have from a spare parts kit that I can
