PRIMER FEED DISC NOT INDEXING FAR ENOUGH.
Quote from Reloader on January 1, 2017, 10:23 pmPosted this same problem on Dec 23rd and here we go again, need some "more" help.
Dillon sent me two new Primer Indexing Arms and two springs. Stripped the Primer Feed Assembly, replaced the Primer Indexing Arm and spring, and the Large Rotary Primer Disc (from my conversion kit), polished the primer indexing arm, the disc pin, the rotary primer disc, and primer support shim. Then lubed everything and put it all back together. Ran great for 32 .308 rounds, then the indexing problem started again.
I am using Winchester Large Rifle Primers, a mix of primarily military (swaged) and some commercial brass. I used this combination to load 1,000+ rounds prior to this problem.
Now did notice on the Primer Indexing Arm the arm that the spring slides over is raised above the Indexing Arm, with the spring bent. I used a constant motion during the process with no jerking or forcing. What happened, and go slow your talking to a retired Marine.

Quote from Reloader on January 6, 2017, 4:28 pmBe sure to use grease to lubricate the axle pin that the primer disc and primer index arm pivot around. Remove the primer seater assembly, and be sure the tip of the primer seating punch reracts at least to flush with the face of the bushing. If the punch gets too dirty, then it will always protrude above the bushing, which locks the primer disc.

Quote from Reloader on January 7, 2017, 9:07 pmMaybe its dirty under that primer disc. I also had problems with priming alignment when that spring loaded arm at the priming station loosened up and the cases were not held in alignment in the shell plate carrier at that station. It has a allen head from top that holds it place I had to adjust it there.

Quote from Reloader on January 29, 2017, 9:10 amHi there,
On my xl 650 I had the same problem many times, I solved it by completely disassemble my 650 every 500 rounds and clean it completely. Better use alcohol and then lightly lubricate.
Best regards,Marc

Quote from Reloader on March 16, 2017, 8:47 pmThanks for the help, been off due to family matters. I reloaded about 100 rounds of .308 earlier this week, then the same indexing issue started again. I completely tore down my 650, cleaned and relubed according to the Dillon video. Replaced the Primer Indexing Arm, Indexing spring, Disc Detent Spring, adjusted the Primer Punch Assembly, as well as changing the Rotary Primer Disc. I even changed the Primer Cam and the Station 2 Locator Tab Bushing. Now the Primer Indexing Arm, works for a few cycles then will not spring back and I have replaced both the Arm and the Spring a few times. Any thoughts?

Quote from Reloader on March 17, 2017, 4:59 pmBe sure the axle pin that the primer arm and disc rotate around is greased. Oil is inadequate here. Next, if the primer feed is removed from the machine, does the primer arm retract if operated by hand?

Quote from Reloader on March 22, 2017, 12:20 amI lubed and switched the Primer Indexing Arm and Spring and it ran fine for 25 or 30 rounds then wouldn't spring back. Per your question, "if the primer feed is removed from the machine, does the primer arm retract if operated by hand," unfortunately the answer is yes and no. It appears the arm that the spring goes over gets bent up and sometime it jams between the coils in the spring. The Failsafe bracket is also slightly bent upward. I can send you pictures.
