Primer Problem
Quote from Reloader on July 20, 2014, 4:27 pmI own a RL 550B and load for the 223. The problem is with seating the small rifle primers. I use mostly Lake City brass with some non-crimped factory brass. When I de-prime the old brass I have several primers being dumped on top of the Primer Slide (13920); and maybe not getting a primer in the Primer Seating Punch, Large (13967). I have also added a pair of washers on top of the Follower Rod (13707).
Any suggestions other than doing the all the case prep and priming in a different operation?

Quote from Reloader on July 21, 2014, 3:38 pmFirst, be sure you are using the small primer magazine (blue tip) and small primer slide for 223 (brass-colored cup). Next, be sure the magazine is installed correctly. The blue tip should almost touch the top of the white plastic primer retaining pin.
