Primer Problems

Hello from Switzerland!
I hope you are well at this difficult time.
Sorry, but my english is not so good, I hope you understand my words.

Since 2‘000-3‘000 rounds I have some Primers where turns 90 degrees. And since today they turn also to 180 degrees. And I‘m 99% sure, that I pickup the Primers correct.
I load 9mm on my 650XL

I hope you can open the picture, so you see what I meen.

Thank you very much in advance for your support.

Best of luck & health for everybody

Roger

Your English is very understandable. You may have either dirt or lubricant at the bottom of the primer feed. I would remove it and push a rag through it to clean the inside. The rotating disk that picks up the primers from the tube may also have dirt or lubricant in the little holes.

I would clean the drop tube and all the holes in the disk. Before beginning reloading I would add some primers to the drop tube and then manually index the disk that moves the primers to the priming station or simply work the handle with no cartridges in the machine to determine if the cleaning solved your problem.

Another possibility is a bad batch of primers. You should get to the bottom of this problem because smashing primers sideways could set one off which can set the rest of them off.

Roger
