Primer seated a little bit too deep
Quote from Reloader on December 11, 2012, 6:01 pmI am using Federal 100 small pistol primers for 9mm reloading with assort brass picked up from the range. The primer seated by my RL550B on a 9mm case seems a bit too deep and the center of the primer looks concave a little. Is there anything I can do to adjust the primer seating? I am new to Dillon and reloading in general. Thanks.

Quote from Reloader on December 12, 2012, 4:28 pmPrimers are seated by feel. They should be seated somewhere between .002" - .007" below flush. It is very difficult to overseat a primer, as the design of the seating punch prevents it from entering the primer pocket too deeply.

Quote from Reloader on December 14, 2012, 1:19 amthere is a adjustment on the primer pin that pushes it up into the primer pocket. I us a small flat head screw drive and hold that down with pressure until I can tighten the screw down. try that and see what happens
