primer timing

Let me start this by saying I'm the guy with little mechanical ability that should be nowhere near a 650. I know not to force the process but went ahead anyway and broke my machine. One of the plastic  legs broke off the part that inserts a casing from the case feeder to station 1. Actually while in front of the machine it is the right plastic leg. Easy enough to order a replacement part. But now the timing of the priming system is now off. The primer feed wheel stops just short of where it needs to be to seat a new primer. I am beginning to think the timing may have been off a little before starting as the priming station has always been hit and miss. Sometimes the primer would seat with no problem other times I had to wiggle it in. Can I send this machine in for repair?

Wow you’re right you really must have forced it. The Case Insert Slide is an easy fix. Try indexing the shell plate and the Rotary Primer Disc, take a look at the primer disc surface, the Primer Indexing Arm racks across the top of the plate then drops into a primer hole to rotate to the next primer if the plate is gouged or the primer hole is oblong the indexing will be offset a smidge, check your Primer Indexing Arm the little tab that drops into the hole could be worn also make sure it’s not bent.

But have no fear for Dillon will be there for you
