Primer Troubles

A couple of years ago I bought a Square Deal from a guy who never did set it up. All seems complete except there is no paper user manual. I got the DVD and set up the machine according to instructions and that went OK.
However I have primer problems. I am trying to use CCI 300 primers as called for .45ACP. My machine has a sticker on the magazine tube which says .45 ACP.

What color should be on the end of the primer pickup tube? What color should the guide for the magazine be? Is it possible to get the white metal tube out of the magazine?

I can't get the machine to load primers, it just spits them out onto the floor. Sometimes it won't deprime either. A real mess! I know I am doing something wrong but don't know what.

Any help would be great.

Regards,

For large primers, the plastic magazine tip should be red in color. The small primer magazine has a blue tip. These tips have a ridge along one side; after inserting the tube into the black steel shield, rotate the tube so the tip finds the aligning slot. Then the magazine drops down a bit further.
