Primers jamming in primer plate

So I am new to this. I was given a xl650 many years ago. Never got into it until this year. The loader is pre 2000 and I have no idea how many rounds have been through it. I have been through the machine a couple times and Dillon has sent me a new primer seater assemblies to fix it from not returning to neutral.
Loading 9mm
My trouble is primers that the primers stopped feeding because a primer was stuck in the primer disk at the primer indexing arm. It was cocked sideways and did not allow the plate to feed the next primer. Out of 50 rounds I have 14 that loaded properly, 2 with reversed primers and the rest with no primers.
I have replaced the primer indexer and index pawl because I noticed damages or wear from the original owners use.
I am at a point of what to do next. I have been reading posts and looking at suggestions that might have been pertaining to issues I had. I read that Dillon will go through the machine for a fee. Will they look at my primer assembly also?
Any input will be helpful.

Did you verify that you have the small primer assembly installed? I forgot to change the feed tube once and it caused the type of problems you are seeing. If the large tube is installed, there's just enough room for the small primers to turn sideways and then jam up the system.
Patience and attention to detail make a world of difference. The 650 is a fantastic machine and will give you a lifetime of ammo, and then some.

Part of our clean & lube service includes replacement of all worn out or damaged parts, and making any necessary adjustments for proper function. This includes the primer feed.

Thanks for the replies. Tunes are correct. I found nicks in the large and small plates. Tim Richards at Dillon worked with me to verify these same ideas about the problem. New plates were sent to me and I ran about 60 primers through, not loading rounds . All went well.
I am thinking about sending it in for Dillon's service to go through it. I have done about everything I can to bring it into working order. I still am having an issue with seating the bullet consistently. Maybe I am thinking a couple thousandths is too much off. Trying for 1.135.

Thanks again!

You won't get loaded ammunition from anywhere with a .000" variation in overall length. There is enough variation in the bullet profile from one bullet to the next to prevent this. FMJ-RN bullets will give the most variation, flat-nose bullets giving the least. For handgun ammo, anything under +/- .010" is acceptable. The most I have personally measured was with a box of 100 9mm 115 grain FMJ bullets. The variation for the 100 bullets was .024".

Hi there,
Disassemble your machine every 500 rounds, clean and lubricate and it will go on for 500 new rounds.
Sometimes you will have to di it sooner, 200 or 250 rounds. whenever you have a fliped over or upside doxn primer, or the disk is out of timing, disassemble, clean and lubricate.
If you dont do this you will eventually break your indexing ring and will have to disassemble clean and lubricate to change it.
Dont be cheap on cleaning.

Best regards,

Marc

Thanks so much for the information. I will be getting back to the reloading attempt soon. We have had some interruptions recently.
