Priming Issue

I have had my SDB for about 2 weeks and have loaded about 1k rounds.  Every now and then the priming system will spit out a new pimer from the bottom.  It happens right after I load the magazine.  I will get one in the primer arm and one will drop out the bottom when I cycle the handle.  If I empty the magazine, relod and start over evything is fine.  Other than that everything works great!

when a primer drops out the bottom, this can mean the primer retaining pin needs to be cleaned and lubed, or that the plastic magazine tip is deformed and requires replacement.

I picked up a SDB from the estate of a friend and am having problems with the small pistol priming feed.

I've loaded a couple hundred rounds with small primers, but the seating never felt right. They seemed to feed properly, but some times didn't align for seating.

After investigation, I found that the large primer cup and seating pin were installed with the small primer tube tip. The primer pin measurement is 1.412" within spec.

I installed the correct primer cup and pin to the same spec., 1.412". However, the primers no longer feed properly and when they do feed they seem to miss the primer cup and drop out the bottom of the press.

I'd like to try to adjust the primer cup adjusting set screw, but it is extremely tight and I'm afraid to round either the socket in the set screw or my allen wrench.

There doesn't seem to be any problem with the indexing of the cartridge plate as it lines up perfectly with the primer cup.

Can anyone help me out?
