Queries about set-up
Quote from Reloader on January 21, 2011, 5:41 amHi all.
I just bought a Dillon XL-650 for .45ACP reloading.I have two initial questions please.
1) I had to install the black metal slide for finished cases UNDER and not OVER the press basament according to instruction : this is because there was an interference between this slide and a moving part of the press on its left side.
Please have a look at pictures.

2) The transparent empty cases tubular holder is not vertical but is inclined of few degrees to the left.

How can I solve the problems?
Thank you in advance

Quote from Reloader on January 21, 2011, 2:34 pmIt sounds like the chute needs to be bent rearward slightly, so it doesn't interfere with the movement of the platform.
Regarding the clear plastic feed tube; how old is your machine? About a year ago, a small batch of casefeed posts got out with the holes punched undersize. The bolt holes should have enough wiggle room to allow you to rotate the post into proper alignment. We can replace the post, or if you're in a hurry and have a drill, open up the hole to 5/16".

thanks for the tips.
The reloading machine is brand new, I bought it yesterday morning.
I am not in hurry, you can please send a new spare casefeed post with correct holes to the dealer where I bought all the hardware (Mattia just told me at the phone that the machine came out of factory probably 1-2 months ago) :ARMERIA FRACASSI

The answer for issue 1) is yes, it is installed correctly.
It is a well known and common problem and I think the solution suggested by "Dillon" above bend rearward slightly would not work since the blue plastic box to get completed bullets is hanged to that metal part and since it is heavy when full of bullets it would bend it again and again.Thank you anyway.
