Question about the SB Die set?

What is the little black stem that comes with the square deal b die set? Where do I put it?

I recently purchased a quick-change .40 S&W conversion kit for my 9x19 SDB. And I too was puzzled somewhat by the item you're inquiring about.

After checking, I discovered three of these peculiar pins were also included in the extra parts kit I ordered with my SDB. So I think they're extra decapping pins, since they have similar dimensions.

A friend of mine told me what it was. I had looked everywhere on the press except there.
