question regarding D-Terminator Electronic Scale usage

I just picked up the D-Terminator Electronic Scale and not sure if its my usage or if the scale isn't capable of working as I had expected it. My issue is that I can't seem to get reliable readings trying to trickle powder directly into the powder scoop when it's sitting on the scale. I have to lift the scoop off the scale and then set it back down. Often times when I replace the empty scoop back onto the scale (after having initially zeroed for the weight of the scoop) it fails to read to zero.

Quote from Reloader on September 25, 2018, 5:37 pmThe current version of the D-Terminator scale is designed to allow trickling. As in the instructions, some finesse is required. Trickling too slow is the biggest problem. You have to trickle fast enough to prevent the scale from locking on a weight.
This is covered in the instructions at figure 13.
