Are you clipping the inside edge of the case? If so the case insert slide may need to be adjusted so that when the handle is pressed all the way to the back of the press it pushes the case completely into the shell plate. This is also the stage where the primer is seated.
A smooth press of the handle is best. I slow down my up stroke at this stage. If the handle is slammed / pressed fast the case entering station 1 will bounce slightly back out of the shell plate. This bounce back will then catch on the resizing/depriming die.
A RCBS die is OK. You may like the Dillon die more due to the stuck case remove feature.
