Rehab SDB
Quote from Reloader on October 4, 2020, 1:22 amI recently bought used a SDB which has Delrin Arm bearings so it is pre 1998. I have loaded 500 rds and really like the press. For 9mm I stared with Hornady single stage to learn, Lee Turret for next step and now the Dillon SDB. I Disassembled it and replaced the wave bearings, the index lever Assy, cleaned and lubricated everything based on Dillon instructions, reassembled and all seems good. I have ordered a 9mm change kit (It is 9mm now) so that when the new dies ,shell plate etc. are installed ( on backorder now) the press should be as new. It did look good, but I do not know how much use it had nor how well it was maintained. I load shotgun with MEC 8567 progressive and wanted to go 9mm progressive as well. I am not running a race and I enjoy the process which for me is size and deprime with the Hornady single, prime with Lee bench primer, and then to SDB to size again, expand, charge, seat, crimp. I think I have covered all the bases. Any thing I might have missed??
