Reloading .223 & 5.56
Quote from Reloader on March 9, 2014, 7:18 pmI have recently purchased an IWI Tavor, which, as you all know is chambered for both 5.56 Nato and .223.
Ive been reloading .223 on my Dillon 550B for quite awhile, and would like to try my hand with some 5.56 Nato brass. I understand from previous topics on this forum that I CAN USE my Dillon .223 die set to reload 5.56. What are the issues that I would have to pay attention to for reloading 5.56 Nato rounds? Can I use the same powder, primers, etc that I'm using for .223?

Quote from Reloader on March 12, 2014, 4:20 pmNo difference at all, from a reloading perspective, other than that 5.56mm brass will have crimped primer pockets, and usually have a slightly reduced internal volume. Use a primer pocket swager to remove the crimp, and reduce charge weights about 10% and work up a new load.
