Reloading 32S&W long WC with just 1,3grain in XL750

Hi everybody,

i am considering buying a XL750 to start loading my handgun ammunition (45ACP and 32S&W Long WC) with a progressive press. With a single-stage press it just takes to much time.

I have some questions regarding the 32S&W long Wadcutter, which I load for my Walther GSP 500. I load them with just 1,3grains of VihtaVuori N310 powder. 1,3grains is very little and also gives not much space for inaccuracy.

When studying the Dillon product offer I learned, that I will need the caliber conversion kit for 32S&W long and that Dillons offers a XS-size powder-charge-bar for the powder-measure. Is it possible to load just 1,3grains using that equpment with sufficient accuracy? Or is the idea of reloading 32S&W long WC with the XL750 a idea I should better forget 😉

Would the electric powder check system available as add-on work reliable for 32S&W long WC?

If I understand there are two powder funnels available for 32S&W long (12845 and 13171). One seems to be for WC, the other not. Which is which ? And how do they differ from each other?

The extra small powder bar is the same, regardless of which Dillon loader you are using. It is intended to drop loads as light as 1 grain. The powder funnels are marked differently. The regular 32 powder funnel has an "S" stamped in the ID groove. The longer 32 funnel is marked "SW", for wadcutters. On the SW funnel, the portion that goes inside the case is noticeably longer, to expand the case to the depth that 32 wadcutter bullets are seated.

thanks for your explanation and quick reply to my question. That helped me to make my decision to order the XL750 with some accessories today… Look forward to receive and install the press 😉
