Reloading .35 Rem
Quote from Reloader on April 30, 2010, 12:47 amI'm considering reloading .35 Rem ammunition using my Dillon XL 650. Since Dillon does not stock .35 Rem dies or conversion kits I have examined LEE and other dies as a possible way to go. The show stopper at this point appears to be the shellplate and spacer buttons. I don't want to set up a seperate LEE press. Any ideas?

Quote from Reloader on May 4, 2010, 3:19 pmUnfortunately we don't offer a 35 Remington shellplate for the XL650. I load mine on the RL550B, for my 1939-vintage Remington pump rifle.

Quote from Reloader on April 23, 2012, 4:05 pmI used the Lee Pacesetter 3 die set with Dillon XL 650 funnel P (specified for 350 Rem Mag), along with conversion components for .308 Win (7.62 x 51). The only problem was in shell preparation which required lots of lubrication which was cleaned following decapping and resizing. With prepared shells I removed the decap/resize die from the XL 650 toolhead to allow shell feeding directly from the feed tube to the shellplate. I only have about 150 shells to load for a friend. Any comments would be appreciated.

Quote from Reloader on April 24, 2012, 3:05 pmThe sizing station is the only position where you can encounter issues pulling the case out of the sizing die. I doubt you will have issues on any of the other stations. The P funnel is correct for 35 Remington.

The only other option I see that does not entail buying a seperate press seems to be to buy a shell plate for a smaller diameter caliber and machining the appropriate diameters for the 35 Rem.
