Reloading 357
Quote from Reloader on June 7, 2015, 12:30 pmI am trying to reload 357 magnums on a XL650 and can not seem to fine any info on the final crimp. My problem is that the bullet head looks like its in the case to far. The OAL is correct by the Lyman reloading book, but it only gives info on hollow point bullet heads not round noise. The crimp seems to be on the rounded part of the bullet head. Is this the way it should be?

Quote from Reloader on June 8, 2015, 3:39 pmIt really depends on the projectile. If there is a cannelure present on the bullet, then use this as a seating depth guide. The crimp should go into this groove. Just be sure not to exceed the manual's maximum overall length. To do so means the projectile will extend past the front of the cylinder.
