Repair for stripped threads in primer feed base mounting holes

I have had my RL550B since 1990 & the only problem I have had (outside of the normal maintenance things) is that the threads stripped out of both mounting holes at the base of the primer feed. It happened over time, to the point that the primer feed wasn't securely located. I tried longer screws with spacers, etc, but eventually the threads stripped all the way out. I thought about putting in helicoils but didn't want to pay for the tooling & hardware to do that.
My fix was to JB Weld 1-1/2" long 10-24 screws into the holes, then cut off the screw heads. Now those studs pass through the frame base & I fasten it with nuts & flat washers. It took maybe 10 minutes to repair both mounting holes. Caliber changeover time is no different & the primer feed fastens securely.
