RF100 Issues
Quote from Reloader on November 15, 2013, 9:08 pmAm I the only one that things the RF100 auto primer filler is a piece of garbage? I used it one time with no issues then the next batch of 100 primers started loading flipped and even sideways. The tube is now jammed with a sideways primer and I cant get it out. I have tried using different things to push it through with no success. I have to buy another $50 tube to make it semi-workable.

Quote from Reloader on November 18, 2013, 1:53 amI've have been Dillon customer for about 20 years. Began with a Square Deal B, now have a XL 650 with just about every option available. I recently purchased a RF-100. Didn't work properly. Dillon sent me another one. Didn't work properly. Upside down primers, primers not making up the ramp, etc. One tech told me with the older unit Dillon used to bead blast the ramp, to give it texture, which assisted primers traveling up the ramp. Now they don't bead blast the ramp according to him. If these would have worked, I was prepare to purchase 2 of them. One large one small. But it didn't work out for me. I could manually load primer tubes faster than the RF100 could. Wasn't a time saver for me due to the constant fiddling around trying to get it work properly. This was the only Dillon product I have ever returned. But Dillons customer service was second to none.

Quote from Reloader on November 18, 2013, 4:21 pmWe'll replace the inner tube under warranty. Out of round primers are the most likely culprit for this.
For a few months we quit glass beading the bowls, but are going to resume doing that. Email me at gary.kieft@dillonprecision.com and I will arrange to swap bowls for you. There is no adjustment involved, just one bolt in the center.

Quote from Reloader on December 3, 2013, 12:52 amI received the new bowl and put it on. The bolt that holds the bowl was on very tight and when I attempted to loosen it, what actually happened, was the whole motor loosened up and started spinning while the bolt I was attempting to remove held tight. I got the motor tightened back down and everything lined back up and eventually was able to break the bolt that holds the bowl free. I switched out the bowl and now the machine doesn't vibrate. I can here the hum of the motor but nothing else happens happens. Any ideas?

Quote from Reloader on December 12, 2013, 1:46 amI own two RF100, one for large primers, and one for small primers and never had a problem. The only thing that I could add is the speed adjustment on the vibrator it should be set almost as low as possible.

Quote from Reloader on December 23, 2013, 1:44 pmMy Dad gave me his old RF100 that he used a few times a long time ago.
Its a older model that has no adjustments for speed just a push button and a on/off switch on the cord.
I played around with the small pistol primer using Remington primers.
I can get the primers to go up the ramp and they sometimes drop down the tube and they sometimes stop prior to the tube and just sit there.
A few will make it to the tube, flip all around then finally drop down the tube.
I will get one that will turn on its side at the entrance below the plastic cover and stop everything.
I have tried everything and can't get them it to work properly. What have i tried?
Loosen the screw that holds the plastic adapter piece (can I get a replacement?)
Readjust the plastic feeder cover (has a 'A' marked on the top) - found it would work better slightly loose but I have to hold it in place for them to feed right but they drop right down the tube
I would like to get a spare plastic adapter for both large and small and also the upgrade for the speed control.
I can order the upgrade but I don't see where to order the adapters??

Quote from Reloader on January 23, 2014, 11:30 pmI have this unit too (with vibrator adjustment) have not used it for a while as it drops primers upside down and side ways as well. This is a very expensive paper weight as I cannot trust it to do the job for me. First time I have complained about a Dillon product. Too expensive to send back from Australia.
