Rifle dies
Quote from Reloader on November 18, 2013, 9:38 pmI currently reload 45acp using the Dillon dies.
I plan on loading for the .223, .270 win and want to know if I can use other mfg dies or only Dillon. What is the main difference between Dillon dies and other mfgs.I also have the primer flip issues but need to check the plate to make sure it's tightness is where it should be.
Love my XL650.
Thanks
Carlos

Dillon rifle dies separate seating and crimping into two separate steps, for easier, more precise adjustment. Most other dies combine seating and crimping into one die. Additionally, Dillon rifle dies use a carbide expander ball, so no inside neck lube is required.
