Ring on bullet from seater Die

The primer seating appears to function OK.
Although I could us a bit deeper seating of the primer and I have to hand pull just a tad for the primer to find its way into the .223 cases primer pocket on the small primer slide. Any Help?

I too am having this problem with the seating die in a carbide .308 die set. The ring is so pronounced you can feel it. I replaced the Dillon seating die with a P.O.S. Lee seating die and the problem was solved. I am using Hornady A-Max bullets on factory new, factory chamfered Lapua Palma brass.

Similar issue here. Loading Barnes TTSX 168gr with Dillon seater die. All bullets have the ring, but worse, at the next to highest and highest powder loads, but only at max recs from the manual, the seater actually pulls the bullet out a little after seating it. This happened with Hornady GMX bullets also. With Varget, the bullet actually got stuck in the seater stem, requiring me to remove the stem so that I could remove the bullet. I got a Lee seater die and the problem disappeared.
