RL 550 Primer feed stop spring
Quote from Reloader on July 22, 2016, 6:18 amMy machine will not feed a primer unless the primer slide is manually pulled to the rear at the full extent of it's rearward travel. If I loosen the primer feed stop screw it will work properly.
What am I doing wrong?

Quote from Reloader on July 27, 2016, 4:35 pmI suspect the block clamped around the primer shield that the primer slide operating rod goes into has slid up the shield. The lower front edge of this block should be within .002-.004" of touching the frame of the machine.
Another possibility is that the end of the operating rod that inserts into the block has some metal deposits on it. Use steel wool or a scotchbrite pad to scrub clean the short end of the operating rod, and then lightly grease it.
