RL 550B Deluxe Quick Change Assembly

I purchased the quick change kit. I am a little disappointed with it too. It has a different bell crank system, that connects to the fail safe rod, than my original quick change purchased initially with the press. I had to bend my fail safe rod to fit the new one, the z in the rod was too narrow in the one I have. The other thing that is a little irritating is that there were no return springs to wrap around the powder bin back to the charge bar. Since the cost of the quick change kit went up from the $70 range to the now $90 range I would think a fail safe rod and springs would be standard fare in a quick change kit. Do you have some reasoning for these issues? I am interested.

The design of the powder measure changed 9 years ago. The failsafe rod is what returns the powder bar, no springs are used anymore. Contact us for the new style of failsafe rod, we'll mail one to you for free.
