RL 550B Mounting
Quote from Reloader on April 27, 2008, 3:06 pmI am new to reloading and I am going to purchase a RL550B (just getting my work area organized) and wanted to know if 3/4 particle board and metal plating to reinforce is OK to mount the strong mount?

Quote from Reloader on April 28, 2008, 12:42 amI don't know whether it is strong enough or not but I used a 4x8 sheet of 5/8" plywood cut in half lengthwise and screwed together to the wood frame. Therefore my bench top is 1 1/4" thick and plenty strong.

Quote from Reloader on April 28, 2008, 10:57 pmWe suggest 1" particle board as a minimum by itself. 3/4" plus a metal plate should be adequite.
