RL 550B to RL 550C Upgrade
Quote from Reloader on June 6, 2019, 1:45 amI just upgraded my RL 550B to RL 550C with the Dillon upgrade kit. I have an older RL 550B and it uses cupped spring washers between the crank and the link arms. I watched a video showing the upgrade being installed on a press and the installer had problems with misalignment of the arms with the new RL 550C frame. When he called Dillon he was told not to use the flat washers between the crank and the link arms. His press had standard flat washers, but mine has cupped spring washers. My press reassembled without difficulty and operates smoothly. Should I remove the cupped spring washers? Photo attached.
BTW, what is everyone doing with their old RL 550B frame? Is there any reason to keep it?
