RL450 to RL550
Quote from Reloader on April 28, 2015, 2:47 amFolks was just given an older 1978 RL450 with the eject sprocket and all else is stock. Should I convert frame and all to a 550 or just add the automatic powder drop along with primer warning set. I shoot Cowboy action and only load 500 to 1000 rounds of 45 Colt and 38 Special. Thank you for your advice. Maybe a Roller Handle?

Quote from Reloader on May 15, 2015, 2:20 pmI just came into a 450B too. I didn't realize I could substitute new 550 parts on it, like you suggest with the automatic primer and powder drop. Are you sure these will retrofit?

Quote from Reloader on February 11, 2016, 1:14 pmI know I'm late here, but yes the 550 parts worked great on my old 450. I didn't upgrade the frame because I don't really mind the dye change. It doesn't take very much time to do and I like the idea of having a solid frame for my dyes so there is no chance of extra wear or movement of a tool head.
