RL450 Upgrades
Quote from Reloader on August 29, 2009, 9:23 pmI'm curious to know how this worked for you (roller handle) If your crank does not have a bend in it, the handle will hit the shellplate, and you won't be able to lower the shaft all the way.
I tried to install a new 550-style crank on my press, and could not make it work. You have to get the upper link arms off in order to mount the new crank, and I wasn't able to do that.
So, I'm back to the old ball handle :(. Hope you had better luck than I did. My 450 is at least 25 years old, so maybe a newer version will accept the new crank (or has a crank with a bend in it.
I love the Strong Mounts-they are one of the best upgrades Dillon ever came out with. Get the bin bracket and bullet tray which go on the Strong Mount if you haven't already.
